Senior Full-Stack Developer (Remote)

Our client is a scaling ride-share startup, aimed at supporting underserved communities with safe, convenient access to transportation.

About the role

The Senior Full-Stack Developer, reporting to the Team Lead, will play a critical role in managing client and server side development, be instrumental in developing components of our client's web and mobile app, as well as ensure smooth functionality of current and future dev projects.

• Design and develop server-side applications and APIs
• Develop and maintain back-end as well front-end components of our web applications
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks such as render-blocking resources, large asset sizes, inefficient code, etc
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into interactive web applications
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of our website and interface
• Implement testing, and write unit tests, e2e tests using test framework using libraries such as react-testing library or jest to ensure individual components of functions act as expected
• Discuss improvements and processes with the team lead 
• Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption where beneficial to the project and company
• Ensure best practices in software development

• 5+ years experience as a Full-Stack (and/or Front-End) software engineer
• A deep understanding of: AWS, JavaScript or TypeScript. Knowledge of Mobile Development is a strong plus
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with testing and debugging tools such as Jest, Jenkins or cypress.io
• Familiarity with: GraphQL, SPA ( React, Vue.Js, Angular), Amplify, CSS, Node, Nest.Js, Express.Js, PostgreSQL
• High adaptability and a strong desire for continuous learning and growth, while striving to develop best-in-class systems
• Ability to learn quickly and derive enjoyment from tackling the most challenging problems
• Outstanding documentation and written communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into understandable, actionable insights
