Billing Analyst

LightEdge is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant experience in billing, financial analysis, or a related field. This role will primarily focus on ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, reconciling accounts, revenue recognition and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. The ideal candidate is motivated, innovative, and excited to learn new technologies.  This position reports to the Revenue Assurance Manager and works closely with all departments.


Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end billing process, including invoicing, collections, terminations processing and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Analyze billing data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Customer Service, to resolve billing issues and improve billing efficiency.
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and investigate billing issues.
  • Prepare month-end tasks related to billing activities, reconciliations and revenue recognition.
  • Understand quote-to-bill process and resolve errors as needed.
  • Gather customer information to get an understanding of their business needs and establish rapport.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in billing, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with billing & accounting software (Salesforce & NetSuite experience a plus).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities accordingly.
  • Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about daily tasks as well as overall company initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize
