As a Staff Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our company’s digital assets and maintaining a robust security posture. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures across our systems. In this senior-level position, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex security challenges, lead security initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all matters related to cybersecurity.
Design and implement robust security controls and measures to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure
Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses, providing recommendations to mitigate identified risks
Lead security design reviews, code audits, and threat modeling for new and existing features of our CMMS software and other company applications, products, and integrations
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats and incidents across systems and networks
Collaborate with product engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle
Automate security measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of security operations
Educate and train staff on security awareness and best practices to foster a security conscious culture within the company
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors to proactively enhance our security posture
8+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, security protocols, cryptography, and authentication mechanisms
Expertise in secure coding practices and experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) and regulations (e.g. GDPR)
Experience building a mature security operations program
Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Experience with SIEM, EDR, and log analysis
Experience developing tools to optimize and automate security processes and responses
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams on security initiatives
$175,000 - $235,000; New hires are typically hired at a salary between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range, depending on experience and internal equity.
