Lingraphica, a leading provider of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) technology, is looking for a Head of Product to define and drive our product strategy, vision, and execution. Purpose:
The Head of Product is a key member of the Executive Team, working collaboratively with other functional leaders to set Lingraphica's strategic direction and ensure its successful execution. This role leads the product management, product design, product training, and product support teams, driving the vision and strategy for our AAC devices and applications. The Head of Product works closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our users. A critical aspect of this role is mentoring and developing product managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and equipping the team with the skills and tools necessary to grow and succeed in their careers. Additionally, they partner with product engineering to optimize processes that enable efficient, seamless product development and deployment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the Product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development to ensure individual and team success.
Define and execute product strategies that align with the company’s strategic goals and mission.
Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders across the Clinical and Consumer business units to define product requirements and set priorities.
Drive empowered product teams from ideation to launch, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products that meet users’ needs.
Partner with the Vice President of Technology to enhance product development processes, ensuring efficient collaboration, streamlined workflows, and timely delivery of high-quality products.
Monitor key performance metrics and leverage data-driven insights to iterate on product features, improving the user experience and delivering business value.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities for innovation, and differentiation in the AAC space.
Advocate for the voice of the customer, championing their needs and ensuring user-centric design principles are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
Proven track record of success leading a Product Management function and moving consumer software products from concept to launch
Experience working in agile development environments with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and the Product Operating Model
Experience with AAC technologies is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize and communicate the why behind decisions and priorities with various stakeholders
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to drive product decisions and measure outcomes.
Strong understanding of the product operating model and continuous discovery practices in product development
Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and methodologies preferred
Passion for technology and innovation, with a focus on improving user experiences.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
In this role, the individual has the option to work remotely anywhere in the U.S. or work from the Princeton, NJ office. If working from home, expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access. Must be able to operate a computer with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Travel:
Travel within the U.S. is required approximately 4 – 6 times per year for in-person Product team and Executive team meetings, conferences, user-testing, and the annual all-company meeting.
