This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City.  

The LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) GTM BizOps team is searching for a strategic and results-driven Business Operations Sr. Manager to join our team. This person will partner with senior leaders across the Global Business Organization (Sales) to drive strategic initiatives that shape & accelerate the growth trajectory of LinkedIn’s advertising business.   

From developing launch strategies for new products to optimizing existing sales motions, this role is at the forefront of delivering disruptive ideas to grow a multi-billion dollar business. You will act as a connective tissue across the organization, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners such as Sales Operations, Product Marketing, Product, Pricing, FP&A and other functions to turn strategy into reality.

The ideal candidate is at the intersection of strong strategic and analytical thinking combined with leadership skills to drive change. This candidate will demonstrate quick learning, ability to fly at different altitudes, strong bias-for-action, and have a history of driving results in large, cross-functional settings. Additionally, the candidate will build strong relationships, create an inclusive culture, anchor heavily on development of the team, and embody “having fun while getting things done”.   

Responsibilities:   

  • Partner with sales leadership to deliver strategic projects that enable the business to execute its highest priority initiatives (e.g. building go-to-market strategies for new product launches, developing key sales motions to drive growth, optimizing key sales processes; etc.)   

  • Leverage LinkedIn data to conduct in-depth analyses across areas of the business (e.g. customer segments / regions / product lines) to develop deep understanding of key value drivers, identifying improvement areas and opportunities   

  • Act as the strategic thought partner to various members of the Sales Leadership team, helping shape the sales strategy for various segments of the Talent Solutions business   

  • Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional team (including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Business Development, Corporate Development, and other internal groups, etc.), working to share knowledge and drive people towards a common goal   

  • Inspire and manage teams to live our cultures and values, including creating diversity, inclusion and belonging; using humor; taking intelligent risks & challenging the status quo     

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:   

  • BA or BS degree in business, economics, math, statistics, computer science, or related discipline or relevant work experience   

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in strategy consulting or a strategy-related role   

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • 3+ years of people management experience  

  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams through change management programs   

  • Experience with advertising GTM strategy   

  • Ability to articulately discuss strategy & recommendations at the executive level   

  • Experience in growth strategy in technology, media, recruiting or related industries   

  • Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources and delivering results in challenging situations   

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations   

  • Technically proficient (or interest in learning) SQL, experience a plus.   

  • Team-first attitude: Motivated to work hard in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business   

  • MBA degree, or advanced degree

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is [$146,000 to $237,000]. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
