Are you an expert Market Researcher who loves using insights to influence business decisions?We are looking for a product-savvy and influential Market Researcher to create and nurture a lasting relationship between LinkedIn and our customers.LinkedIn's Consumer Market Research team is looking for a Group Manager to lead the Premium and Flagship market research team. This team sits within the broader Marketing organization and is responsible for driving understanding of LinkedIn's members and customers, specifically those who are using or are potential users of LinkedIn Premium and Flagship products. We're excited about research leaders who have a strong results orientationand know how to create value in an agile, fast paced, high performing environment.25-50% of this role will be responsible for delivering individual research projects.Responsibilities:• Initiate, lead, and execute research to answer high priority business questions such as: Business Health(e.g. Brand Trackers), Product and Marketing Assessment (e.g. Features tests, Concept Testing), Audience and Category assessments (e.g. Audience Segmentation and Targeting)• Design and recommend best research methodology (qual/quant/behavioral)to answer complex business questions and manage end-to-end research projects, building on expertise in research and statistics to address key business challenges• Scope and design global research projects/action plan with key business goals and planning timelines in mind• Draft questionnaires and discussion/interview guides• Manage end-to-end project set-up and execution (in-field) in close collaboration with the research operations team or external vendors• Analyze data (using a variety of tools and resources) - includes survey-based data and linking to behavioral data when relevant• Translate research findings into clear business implications and drive increased interest for research through internal presentations, conference participation and events• Leadership over Premium and Flagship Market Research team to drive high-impact and scalable results.• Influence team to continually examine research best practices and optimize for the system and company priorities.• Have meaningful career conversations and enable career transformations for team members.• Ensure your team has clear, well-aligned goals and the support necessary to achieve them.• Communicate the strategy and roadmap and ensure that team is on board.• Be flexible and assertive in issue resolution and conflict handling.• Scale Premium and Flagship insight to influence product and marketing decision making at Director+ level.• Actively participate in team-wide and people leader driven initiatives.• Successfully collaborate and influence internal team as well as marketing, product and engineering stakeholders.• Proactively communicate progress, milestones and challenges to influence leaders 1+ level up.• Demonstrate advanced understanding of key research skills (e.g., business question delineation, project planning, questionnaire design, sampling, and reporting, etc).• Work closely with Product and Brand Marketing Partners to ensure insights are converted to actionSuccess in this role is measured by:• Ability to deliver strategic research and insights, change stakeholder perceptions on product roadmap decisions and elevate the Market Research team by introducing new research methods• Ability to recommend and execute on appropriate methodology based on business need and resourcing parameters - may include more in-depth in-house quantitative research, agile/quick-turn methods, and/or leveraging external research agency partners, as well as mix of ad hoc and tracking/programmatic research• Developing your curiosity and understanding of the Digital Advertising landscape and the mindset of marketers• Ability to proactively shapeand leadMarketing Solutionsmarket research prioritization through collaboration with cross-functional partners including Product and Brand Marketing, User Experience Research, Product and Business OperationsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:• 7+ years of market research experience (e.g., designing questionnaires, data analysis/synthesis)• 2+ years managing client facing or internal stakeholder facing teams.• BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.• Experience synthesizing key implicationsPreferred Qualifications:• Experience synthesizing key implications• Strong leadership and communication skills• Demonstrated ability to make data driven decisions.• Ability to operate with discipline and make informed decisions quickly working in a complex, fast-paced environment.• Solid experience in presenting recommendations and influencing strategic roadmaps.• Consulting experience• Clear track record of academic and professional excellence and progress• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage in a dynamic environment• Experience in consumer tech industry or social media tech• Experience working with and analyzing large data sets• Experience with influencing decisions in complex, matrixed organizations• Familiarity with data processing tools (e.g. Decipher, Q, SPSS)• Ability to extract data from a database (e.g. using SQL) is a plusSuggested Skills:• Project Management• Consumer Behavior Understanding• Adaptability• Budget ManagementLinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.The pay range for this role is $144,000 to $224,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
