We are actively seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and drive partnership initiatives within our Consumer Business Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic evaluation, definition, and negotiation of new partnerships and partner programs.
Your primary focus will be content partnerships with key players in the news & media space, including publishers, podcasters and video creators. You’ll be tasked with leading existing programs focused on audio and video partnerships, as well as identifying and establishing new opportunities and pathways to support our mission to connect the world’s professionals.
This individual will have the opportunity to be a key member of a team that drives growth, engagement, and revenue via identifying, executing, and managing content partnerships and strategic initiatives. You should be comfortable and have experience collaborating cross-functionally to drive results, including working across Editorial, Product, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Finance. The ideal candidate is passionate about LinkedIn’s vision, can develop a deep understanding of LinkedIn’s products and services, and is both proactive and results-oriented.
This person should have experience in building & leading end-to-end partner & program management, with preferred experience in news/media content partnerships. A deep understanding of the rapidly evolving podcast and video landscape is a must, including content strategy, monetization, partnership models and creator tools. You should be familiar with key players and business models across the podcast and video industry, as well as the creator ecosystem more broadly.
Tasks will include evaluation and execution of strategic partnership opportunities, informing content acquisition strategy, driving growth for existing audio and video initiatives, managing day-to-day relationships with partners, tracking program performance and sharing ecosystem insights to inform key decisions. An ability to understand legal contracts and negotiate deals with partners is critical, as you’ll work closely with legal to draft/finalize agreements that drive value for both our partners and LinkedIn. These partnerships will focus on increasing the value we bring to Members to ensure they are connected to knowledge and information that is relevant to their professional lives. Strong written and verbal communication to drive alignment with key stakeholders on strategy, vision and goals is required.

The pay range for this role is $138,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
