Siemens Energy Integrated Power Train Solutions (IPS) team is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to support further growth in the aeroderivative gas turbine service business. The selected candidate will be expected to work successfully in a cross-business unit matrix team to deliver aero derivative and power turbine solutions for the LM2500 service portfolio.

The selected candidate will be a point of contact for a cross organizational team interfacing with product development, R&D, sales, technology, supply management, and operations. Working in a cross functional matrix setup, the candidate will collaborate with internal organizational functions, partners across the Service Distributed Oil and Gas Service business, mods and upgrade engineering, package service engineering, and regional teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Primary focal point of contact for operations, supply management, proposal development, and field service for upfront work scope planning to drive competitive product cost that meets customer requirements.
• Primary technical focal point for repair and overhaul operations and field service execution teams.
• Engage with existing and new clients to understand requirements and provide differentiating solutions utilizing Siemens Energy products and services.
• Align regional feedback from Sales, Service, and Client Managers to drive improvement in product and service offerings of LM2500 products. Benchmark best practices with Siemens Energy Aeroderivative service teams.
• Plan R&D for LM2500 product development by coordinating product requirements and cost estimates with Business development, Sales and Marketing, operations, and business administration functions.
• Collaborate with business development to manage long-term roadmaps for the LM2500 product and service portfolio and drive applications of Siemens Energy technology.
• Manage complex projects involving a high degree of concurrent engineering and manufacturing. Report status and act on deviations to project plans.
• Support tactical synergy projects and tasks (standards, harmonization, methods, rules, etc.) with Siemens Energy R&D organization, Aero Derivative Services, and Siemens Energy Repair network.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineer, or similar; high school diploma/GED or associate’s degree and equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Must have 8+ years of experience working in gas turbines is required. Those with more experience may be considered for higher level.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of LM2500 product with particular focus on repairs and overhauls.
• Must be able to apply understanding of LM2500 Gas Turbine operation to facilitate troubleshooting in close collaboration with the Siemens Energy Technical Support team.
• Demonstrated networking and problem-solving skills working in a cross functional, cross business unit matrix team.
• Basic knowledge of R&D planning processes and project management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to collaborate and influence in a matrix organization.
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems.
• Proactive planning and prioritizing of activities, striving for continuous improvement.
