Overview: The Commercial Loan Documentation Officer is responsible for overall support of the loan documentation and loan administration teams. This includes Quality Control of loan documentation including but not limited to; Real Estate, C & I, Specialty Lending such as; ABL, Private Equity, Telecom, Wealth Management, etc. This position is also responsible for project management and implementation of new releases and its User Acceptance testing. The Loan Documentation Officer will further work with lending staff, credit administration, credit supervision, attorneys and compliance, to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures in support of Loan Documentation and Closing.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide the commercial loan documentation and loan administration teams with the technical support needed to prepare commercial loans including drafting language to be inserted into documents for complex non-standard transactions. This includes working with attorneys.
  • Review CCRs ensuring appropriate credit structures to perform all due diligence.
  • Recognize and discuss loan transactions with lending staff and credit supervisor to resolve any outstanding issues prior to loan documentation and closing.
  • May prepare loan documents on LaserPro in accordance with Bank Policy and according to the terms of the approved credit.
  • Perform Quality Control 2nd review prior to releasing loan documents
  • Review title-related documents, including but not limited to title preliminary report, title commitment and prepare Lender’s Instructions and work closely with Title Companies
  • Provide training to Documentation Specialist & Loan Administrator
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for all LaserPro releases
  • Train Documentation and Loan Administration staff on new releases of LaserPro and project implementation
  • Perform all LaserPro administrative function including set up new products and its associated components and policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Prepare and update all desktop procedures and job aids for the Loan Administration and Documentation teams.
  • Respond to all internal and external customer inquiries Support / lead other projects as assigned by the Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial loan administrator or a commercial loan documentation specialist including specialized products
  • Good project management skills
  • Broad knowledgeable with real estate title work required
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of loan documentation and closing, including commercial and commercial real estate, loan provisions/terms, various collateral sources and compliance
  • Commercial Loan accounting experience required with FIS preferred
  • Commercial Loan Documentation system experience required with LaserPro preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter and possess positive attitude with good organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software, inclusive of Word and Excel
  • Document Imaging system experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is USD $32.00/Hr. - USD $37.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
