GENERAL FUNCTION: Assists the shift manager in managing day-today operations with responsibilities multiple areas within Wholesale/Retail Lockbox. Works with all other shifts and managers to ensure timely resolution of issues and provide timely and accurate feedback to the customer and upper management.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages day-to-day operations to ensure daily deadlines are met by effectively monitoring workflow and reallocating resources as required.

Ensures that all new employees in their areas successfully complete Lockbox training and satisfies all annual compliance courses.

Responds promptly to customer inquiries and requests, helps coordinates activities of appropriate Fifth Third personnel to resolve issues.

Follow up and resolve any accuracy issues and report resolution to Lockbox management.

Review team member's productivity and accuracy sheets on a daily basis and calculates monthly incentive bonuses where appropriate.

Support Manager in achieving production and accuracy objectives and providing back up for all functions.

Inform Manager of employee issues with quality and productivity.

Escalate issues appropriately to shift Manager and Department Manager as appropriate.

Conduct internal and external client tours and site visits as required.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Screen candidates and conduct interviews with internal and external candidates.

Works to create a positive and engaging environment for team.

Responsible for uptime and maintenance of area production systems.

As needed assisting within production workflow.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Associates Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.

Three (3) years of Banking operations or related experience.

Two (2) years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Ability and willingness to share product knowledge with co-workers.

Basic level computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access.

Excellent organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Ability to function in a fast paced environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Commitment to teamwork.

Must be a self-motivated individual.

Detail oriented.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment with exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.

Extended viewing of CRT screen.
