The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team is seeking a high energy experienced individual with a strong background in engineering, and to support the Integration AI team and product portfolio, focusing on the LAIC Beacon Project. The team is focused on creating portable microservices to enable JADC2.The selected candidate will focus on the of technologies and products that leverage to provide discriminating capability to our customers. This will require engagement in every phase of the system lifecycle including requirements generation, system and design, implementation, integration, and flight test. Activities will range from low TRL research, proof of concepts, of prototypes, building demonstrators, and transition to production. The selected candidate can expect to design systems with current paradigms including computer vision and reinforcement learning, applying these techniques to solve complex problems and field innovative solutions. Must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate can potentially work at any major facility or remotely.
Travel will be required ~50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an
accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent
experience, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3
years of professional experience with a related Master’s
degree.
• Strong problem solving mindset: Ability to develop and
create solutions to difficult problems often requiring
integration of conflicting and, at times, ambiguous or
incomplete data on a fast-paced schedule
• Ability to effectively communicate complex design
information, technical decision and issues to both highly
technical and non-technical peer
• Cameo / Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
design experience
• AI-based Systems requirement decomposition
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
Desired Skills:
• Experience with high-performance computing
• Experience with DevOps tools: Docker, Git [GitLab,
GitHub], Continuous Integration [CI], Continuous
Deployment [CD]
• Current TS/SCI security clearance
• Experience with modern Computer Vision and/or
Reinforcement Learning
• Experience leading other engineers or small teams
• Familiarity with transitioning prototype to production

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $103,100 - $194,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $89,600 - $171,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
