Logistics Load Planner Analyst (2nd Shift)

What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a Logistics Load Planner Analyst (2nd Shift) to join our Transportation team in Laredo, TX. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

What you will be doing:

This position coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.

What you will bring to the table:

• Process customer orders, plan & optimize shipments into loads, tender freight to external carriers
• Update Transportation Management System with current shipment information
• Provide visibility to management and our internal customers by tracking, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions
• Complete daily logs, trackers and internal systems with detailed information
• Escalate rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis to Logistics Engineering team
• Identify cost savings opportunities to the Logistics Engineering team
• Escalate damage notifications from DC to Logistics Claims team and Carrier
• Coordinate on-time performance (pickup and delivery) with carriers by tracking loads in TMS
• Knowledge of systems and tools required to perform job and ability to help the team when needed (Training will be provided)
• Escalate to shift’s specialist or supervisor when there is a risk or scenario impacting our network performance
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by shift’s specialist or supervisor
