RHI Magnesita is looking for a Technical Product Trainee to join our team! This is a full-time role and will sit in York, PA for the first year.

As a Technical Product Trainee, you will work closely with our experienced technical teams, you will gain hands-on experience in providing technical support to our valued customers.

The Technical Product Trainee for carbon products is responsible for the development, creation, and implementation of technical concepts for our customers - now and in the future. This person will provide technical consulting and detailed application knowledge in refractories and customer processes to support the sales activities within RHI Magnesita.

Tasks will include:

  Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our refractory product portfolio, including their applications, specifications, and performance characteristics.

• 
  Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, sales representatives, and internal teams regarding product selection, installation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• 
  Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and offer tailored product solutions. Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our refractory products.

  Product Testing and Analysis: Assist in conducting laboratory testing and analysis of refractory materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.

  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical inquiries, and product performance data. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation as required.

  Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the refractory field. Share insights and recommendations with the team to support product development and market positioning.

  Training and Education: Support the development and delivery of technical training programs for internal teams and customers. Stay up-to-date with new product launches and advancements to effectively educate stakeholders.

  Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure seamless coordination and timely resolution of customer inquiries or issues.

  Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, product enhancements, and customer satisfaction. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to drive product performance and market competitiveness.

  Adherence to Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, industry regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with applicable standards.

About you

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.

Technical Aptitude: Strong interest in refractory materials and their applications in high-temperature environments. Prior knowledge in refractories is advantageous but not mandatory.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights to support marketing decisions.

Excellent Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Team Player: Collaborative and able to work in a diverse team environment.
