Consumer Finance Manager

Long Home Products, a leader in the home improvement industry is seeking a Consumer Finance Manager to join our amazing team in our Corporate location in Savage, MD

As the Consumer Finance Manager, you will be responsible for Consumer finance offerings of the Company.   Work with various consumer finance companies to set up programs for financing home remodeling projects (roofs, baths, windows, and doors).  Train sales teams to utilize financing options in a manner that complies with federal, and state regulations as well the requirements and guidelines set by each financing entity.   We need an someone who will ethically advocate for the consumer and help lower the turn down rate on home improvement loans of our customers.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Track Company turndowns and rejections

Research credit turndowns and find financing for qualified buyers when financing during the sales visit was unsuccessful.

Coordinate finance paperwork requirements with lenders and verify Company tools can meet those requirements.

Train new Product Specialists (sales personnel) on finance procedures during orientation

Monitor success rates of Product Specialists and determine the cause for variation from targeted approvals.

Receivable monitoring and reporting and follow-up.

Review customer credit applications when “in-home” first attempts at financing fail

Maintain finance policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong Interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:

College preferred

3 years Retail Finance, Consumer, Mortgage Loan experience
