We are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to join, support and enable our cross-functional Engineering Team. While our Engineering Managers are focused on developing the skills of our Software Engineers and our products, the Engineering Operations Manager’s customers are our Engineers, and any cross-functional team they collaborate with.

This is an indispensable role with us, so we’ll be looking for you to have examples of when you’ve tackled these challenges throughout your career. We’ve laid out the experience we think is important to set you up for success in this role. But, we appreciate that different humans will solve problems in different ways, so we don’t expect you to fit exactly in a box of requirements.


Loop HQ is a state-of-the-art office located in Columbus, Ohio, and more than half of our team works remotely across the United States and Canada. You can choose to join us in the Columbus office or stay fully remote in this role.


What You’ll Do:


  • Implement and optimize systems and processes - ensure the latest best practices, processes and tools are in place and available for the Engineering team.
  • Create and manage user feedback loops - partner with Engineering, Product, and Data to ensure our Engineering Team has consumable feedback from our users, 3rd party vendors, and partners. This includes building systems to review, capture and analyze data.
  • Partner with Data Analysts to analyze, synthesize and automate data created for or used by engineering teams. 
  • Build reports and spreadsheets to help aggregate information and data, building visibility into the health and function of the engineering organization. 
  • Manage information governance and the organization of that information, creating actionable data and insights for our teams. 
  • Streamline routine tasks - identify tasks that can be automated or simplified to free up more time for the Engineering team and leaders. 
  • Standardize communications across the organization - work with the Engineering Managers and Directors, stakeholders and leadership to ensure effective and timely communication.
  • Onboard new Engineering team members - Work with people managers to help get new team members up and running in their new roles to raise the bar of the overall Engineering team.
  • Identify knowledge gaps on the Engineering team, and lead the solutions to fill them.
  • Support the Engineering team’s professional development and overall knowledge by identifying training needs and opportunities, and working with leadership to get the team the training they need.
  • Use tools such as Jira, DataDog, Github, and Notion to help organize and steer the Engineering organization towards success.


Your Experience:


  • You have 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • The last 2-3 years of your experience has been focused in Engineering.
  • You have experience with tools like Jira, DataDog, Github, and Notion to help organize and manage processes within an engineering organization.
  • Any experience with SQL or pulling data from various systems and sources is a huge plus for us.
  • You've introduced and led initiatives to use data and metrics to improve internal practices in the past, and can speak to how you've held others accountable to key metrics. You have a bias for action. 
  • Your coworkers have described you as more organized and detailed than most others - even the smallest of details don’t pass by you.
  • You’ve worked at a startup/growth company (or a few) and know what it means to make it through the various stages of rapid growth.
  • You have examples of how you have created exceptional partnerships with your team members, and quickly became one of their favorite people to work with because of your commitment to creatively fulfilling their needs.
  • Communication is your jam - you should impress others with your style, thoroughness, and frequency of communication through documentation, email, call, video, you name it!
  • You have a history of making your role and your teams better than you found it by creating and continuously improving expectations and processes.
  • You can share concrete examples of rolling up your sleeves to learn something new.
  • You lead with curiosity; when you have an issue you don’t understand, it becomes your focus to create that understanding.


$96,800 - $145,200 a year

We want you to feel safe and excited, but also comfortable with the compensation package of a startup. - The posted salary range is the base salary for this opportunity. The salary range is subject to change, and may be adjusted in the future.

- The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to: your prior experience and skills related to the position, geographic location, company needs, current market demands, and your total compensation goals.
