LSSI is hiring a full-time MAR Registered Nurse Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Contracted position providing health assessments, assessment and education for medication compliance/issues, serving as primary clinical contact/liaison, and potentially assist with medication administration as a part of a Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) treatment team in a behavioral health clinic.

Essential Functions: 
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care for MAR patients, including screening and intakes, medication inductions and stabilization visits. 
  • Administer medications both intramuscularly and orally and provide patient education on proper medication use. 
  • Provide health assessment, assess for medication compliance/issues and coordinate referrals for continuity of care.  
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with prescribing physician, treatment team and collateral agencies and contacts (i.e., family/friends, as appropriate and determined by the client), and complete nurse assessments and documentation. 
  • Evaluate and document patient progress toward treatment plan outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis, including completing required documentation in the Electronic Health Record system. 
  • Work with patients in reducing barriers to sustaining recovery. 
Position Qualifications: 
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Diploma required.
  • Active RN license required. 
  • 1 year of experience in behavioral health or substance use, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, presentation and PC/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) along with other related software. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and respect differences of opinion, beliefs, culture, appearances and ways of life.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in collaboration with the client.
  • Ability to establish trusting, hopeful relationships with clients and their families.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage.
