Senior Software Engineer - LATAM

About Lyric

Here at Lyric, we’re building the future of Supply Chain AI, with the team best equipped to build it. Traditional supply chain software, often supplemented with ad hoc analysis, is too rigid for modern AI capabilities. Custom AI solutions are time-consuming, costly to develop in-house, and lack proper supply chain context. These issues make it hard for large supply chain organizations to fully leverage advanced data & decision science.

Our platform, the "Lyric Studio", accelerates your ability to create and consume advanced supply chain models (e.g. stockout prediction & network optimization). A catalog of ready-to-use algorithms and optimization models makes it easy for business users to create sophisticated no-code applications. Lyric Studio also enables technical users to train prediction models & deploy custom algorithms to a private catalog for future reuse. Lyric allows for faster, more advanced supply chain decisions of all shapes and sizes, which is why Fortune 500 enterprises are already saving millions with Lyric today.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in the LATAM region. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust software solutions using Python, Django, Flask, FastAPI, and Kubernetes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products and contribute to Lyric's success in the LATAM market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Full-stack Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend services, APIs, and frontend components using Python and relevant frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI), as well as modern JavaScript frameworks as needed.

  2. Microservices Architecture: Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using Kubernetes and containerization technologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and flexibility.

  3. Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models using SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to support application requirements.

  4. DevOps Practices: Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible to streamline development workflows and deployments.

  5. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and scalability challenges in the software stack, and implement optimizations to improve overall system performance and efficiency.

  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software products on schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong proficiency in Python and web development frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes, and familiarity with Docker for containerization.

  • Proficiency in designing and optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as familiarity with database migration tools and ORM frameworks (e.g., SQLAlchemy).

  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop pragmatic solutions.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a distributed and multicultural team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Previous experience working in the hospitality, travel, or related industries.

  • Certification in Kubernetes (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or related technologies.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless computing services.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile development teams.
