Performance Pipe, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, is the largest producer of polyethylene piping products in North America. Purpose/Introduction

Performance Pipe is currently seeking a Machining Set-Up full-time employee to join the Bloomfield, IA manufacturing location. The Machining Department operates 2 shifts a day/5 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Completes set-Up and programs CNC, mills and lathes for production.
  • Performs adjustments to CNC, mills and lathes to produce a quality part.
  • Performs Quality Control checks with the use of measuring instruments.
  • Operates a fork truck.
  • Works in a safe manner.
  • Keeps safety as a core value thru teamwork and participation.
  • Participates in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member).
  • Maintains a clean work area.
  • Performs additional duties such as assisting operators with pallets, boxes and parts.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum education of High School education or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Detail-oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures.
  • The ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written).

Required Qualifications

Testing Requirements:

  • Pre-employment and on-going testing includes: controlled substances, physical, MOBI testing, background check, audiogram and vision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment – CNC, lathe and mill.
