Madison Energy Infrastructure (“MEI”) believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Driving progress, updates, and enhancements to MEI’s Full Potential Plan (“FPP”), a 5-year strategic roadmap, including updates to organizational design
- Collaborating and supporting all functions of the organization including business development, diligence, finance, operations, and legal teams to drive organizational change across MEI’s most complex and strategic initiatives.
- Support implementation of “MEI+”, a strategic initiative to provide holistic offering of advisory work, on-site and off-site renewable directly to C&I customers
- Support effort to stand up a Digital Innovation Lab at MEI to oversee the incubation period of digital and data analytic ideas, build business cases around those ideas, and oversee execution.
- Working alongside MEI’s Digital Team to ensure collaboration across all Digital projects and initiatives.
- Work with MEI senior leadership and executives to prepare strategy documents and communicate progress updates to MEI sponsors
What We Are Looking For:- Demonstrates ability to develop and communicate corporate strategies, build buy-in, then execute on the strategic initiatives that involve multiple parts of the organization.
- Experienced in conducting research and developing strategies and initiatives to solve challenging and complex business problems.
- Financial modeling experience and integrating into strategy and business cases
- Ability to develop best-in-class executive level deliverables using primarily MS PowerPoint and Excel and present to executive level audiences.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across multiple business units and levels of the organization.
- Experienced in identifying key stakeholders and building alignment to drive key outcomes.
Location & Hours: This is a hybrid intern role that is based in our Vienna, VA (Washington, DC) or New York City office, with a required 40-hours per week; 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
