Events & Partnerships Marketing Manager
Role Description: We are seeking a highly driven and organized Events & Partnerships Marketing Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of impactful events and manage strategic partnerships that drive our growth in the EdTech space. This role is vital to our marketing strategy, as events are a primary source of brand exposure and lead generation. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, executing high-visibility events, and expanding our reach through meaningful partnerships. In this fast-paced, detail-oriented position, your passion for education and technology, combined with your ability to manage both events and partnerships, will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving to the following outcomes:
Outcome: Organize the events calendar for the year
Develop an annual calendar prioritizing key industry events based on ROI and strategic goals.
Implement a system to track event statuses, deliverables, and deadlines.
Regularly update the calendar and conduct bi-weekly check-ins with relevant teams.
Create a standardized event management playbook for internal processes and sign-ups.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely preparation of assets.
Outcome: Develop a strategy to ensure event consistency & brand impact
Establish brand guidelines for event representation to ensure consistency.
Develop creative, out-of-the-box ideas for each event to enhance brand impact.
Experiment with unique tactics like immersive experiences or product demos.
Set quarterly benchmarks for lead engagement and growth, tracking QoQ and YoY progress.
Monitor and analyze lead quality and conversions from events to measure impact.
Outcome: Create standardized reporting for event impact
Collaborate with marketing ops to create a standardized event performance reporting template.
Track KPIs such as lead generation, customer engagement, and event expenses.
Measure event ROI by tracking leads through the sales pipeline and evaluating long-term impact.
Provide post-event debriefs with actionable insights for improving future event ROI.
Continuously optimize event strategies based on data-driven insights from reports.
Experience & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following experience and qualifications:
5+ years of experience in event planning, partnership management, or business development, preferably within EdTech, education, or technology sectors.
Proven track record of successful event execution and partnership growth.
Ability to travel - attend up to 25% of conferences, in particular, the largest EdTech conferences
Project Management & Execution: Proven ability to manage complex events from strategy to execution, including logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, and post-event reporting, while using tools like Asana, HubSpot, and CRM systems.
Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Building: Skilled at cultivating and managing partnerships with schools, institutions, and industry leaders to enhance brand visibility and co-marketing opportunities.
Creative Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Capable of finding innovative solutions and adapting to dynamic event environments and partnership challenges.
Strong Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to manage internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders effectively.
Industry Knowledge & Marketing Strategy: Deep understanding of EdTech trends, education systems, and the needs of educators, paired with experience in creating promotional strategies that align with broader go-to-market initiatives.
