Survey Crew Chief

As a Survey Crew Chief at our company, you will primarily be focused on carrying out various field surveying tasks, which include establishing horizontal and vertical control, conducting topographic surveys, property boundary surveys, and construction staking. You'll have the opportunity to work both solo and as part of a crew, ensuring that each project meets our high standards for accuracy and efficiency.

To qualify for the Survey Crew Chief role, you should have a minimum of three years of surveying experience, with at least two years in a leadership position. Familiarity with surveying equipment such as GPS and robotic total stations is essential, while experience with LiDAR and Trimble equipment is preferred but not necessary. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required, and having an associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.

Having some experience with AutoCAD is preferred for the Survey Crew Chief position, but it's not mandatory. If you're comfortable performing basic CAD functions, that will certainly enhance your candidacy. However, the main focus will be on your surveying skills and ability to lead a crew effectively.
