Gibson Dunn seeks a Mailroom Clerk for its New York office.

The role reports to the Mailroom Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Sorting mail / Delivering mail. Shipping outgoing mail and packages
  • Entering data on a computer.
  • Deliver within our office packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Sorting interoffice mail and messages and maintaining mailroom supply inventories.
  • Logging and distributing overnight packages and messenger deliveries.
  • Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, scanners, labeling machines and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with other service departments.
  • Complete other various duties as directed including daily trips to Post Office and nearest FedEx station down the street.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility.
  • Ability to lift, move and push up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and to bend, stoop and reach for objects frequently.
  • Ability to remain on one’s feet (standing and walking) for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work overtime, as needed. (Must be available when asked to assist with Saturday coverage rotation from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a similar role in a professional services office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Gibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified Applicants with Criminal Histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law.


Compensation & Benefits:
The annual compensation range for this position is $38-42k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
Benefits offered for this position include health care; retirement benefits; paid days off, including sick time, and vacation time; parental leave; basic life insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts; as well as discretionary, performance-based bonuses.
