Payroll Specialist

We're looking for a payroll enthusiasts to join our Finance team to help deliver high-quality results, drive automation, and provide greater efficiency within the company's Finance ecosystem.

As part of the Finance team, you'll be a trusted partner of core teams across the company, including People Operations, Office Operations, Financial Systems, Benefits, Compliance, and Legal.

The anticipated pay for this position will be $31 - 41 per hour. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.

In this role you'll:

• Help play a key role in supporting the biweekly payroll processing for 900+ US employees
• Enter and audit employee data in an accurate and timely fashion
• Strive to continually improve operational processes
• Ensure a great employee experience with any payroll related questions
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure that data is processed efficiently

What you'll need:

• 2+ years of payroll experience
• Accounting experience (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations) and familiarity with multi-state tax considerations
• Completion of Workday Payroll Fundamentals training or familiarity with Workday's Payroll, HCM, and FIN modules— a plus
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
• A highly collaborative team player that can work cross functionally within the broader finance department
• Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality
• Ability to work in office 3 days per week
