    License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia driver's license required. Must obtain refrigerant and fork truck operator's license required within six months of hire.

    Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience Qualifications: Two years of experience in warehouse operations or similar experience required. Experience with computerized data entry preferred.

    Skills Qualifications: Ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately; knowledge of warehouse storeroom operations including the use of computer terminal and computerized inventory system; knowledge of parts procurement, receipt, stocking, and issuance; ability to plan parts requirements and communicate with all levels; and ability to operate material handling equipment and up to a two-ton vehicle.

    Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for performing all inventory control functions at the district's maintenance facility for the Department of Building Maintenance.

    1. Organize parts storage areas to maintain safe, accurate, and efficient operations.

    2. Act as the backup relief for other district personnel pertaining to inventory control functions.

    3. Utilize specialized equipment including computers and scanners or other office equipment as required to enter, process, or extract data as required.
    a. Verify and accurately receive transfers of parts and process receipt of parts and issue parts from stock on the computerized maintenance management system.

    4. Process parts orders for trades personnel and maintain readily available parts for work orders.
    a. Deliver parts to job sites in emergencies or as required.
    b. Coordinate issuance of loose equipment and tools such as tool crib items as required.
    c. Follow up with the retrieval of tools as required.

    5. Requisition material from Lawrenceville central supply as required.
    a. Manage the district's stocking processes, including setting reorder points and reorder quantities in the system.
    b. Return defective goods and obtain replacements in a timely manner.

    6. Retain purchasing card for district maintenance facility and reconcile for all pertinent account activity and statements.

    7. Notify the Facilities and Operations Area Manager of needed materials and purchase emergency materials as directed by the Facilitates and Operations Area Manager.

    8. Maintain stock security in storeroom including monitoring material usage activities of on-call craftsmen and follow up with craftsmen to assure transaction records are completed.

    9. Prepare for and take physical inventory audit.
    a. Identify and correct inventory errors or variances.
    b. Perform cycle counting as directed or according to procedure.

    10. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
