Maintenance Planner

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Planner provides safety-focused leadership to drive production results, eliminate losses, and improve system reliability. They employ data-driven processes to address root causes, enhance defect handling, and optimize planning and scheduling. This role utilizes continuous improvement tools, creating a well-structured maintenance plan communicated to all stakeholders. Their contribution aims to achieve optimal equipment and process conditions in a cost-effective manner.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 6am to 3pm.
Competitive Wage: $34 to $38/hr, depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for screening of all Work Orders, identification of scope, and analysis of required level of planning.
Continually update PMs and Work Instructions.
Complete estimations of required hours on WO tasks, total durations, and skills required to perform the tasks.
Determine and include QA/QC requirements for each job.
Analysis of equipment performance and component life cycles.
Plan parts for all projects to increase “wrench time” and maximize efficiency.
Lead portions of the daily and weekly DDS process, including: Daily reporting and prioritization of defects found, fixed and total backlog, daily reporting of breakdowns (includes leveraging Breakdown Elimination) contribute to development and execution of the Plan for the Day, weekly tracking and reporting of maintenance measurement data – Backlog, MTTC, PM Completion (Indicators of health of Planning & Scheduling system).
Own PM systems for the Line, focusing on Breakdown Elimination, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling PDMSs: Own the health of the Defect Handling system, coach and develop Teams by serving as a technical coach and resource, MVP data integrity and adherence to MVP standards, Planning and Scheduling: Execute all planning and scheduling, shutdown plans, and all other maintenance activities to drive out losses.
Support development of, and lead execution of the 90-Day Plan.
Complete audit follow-ups for your lines/systems.
Participate in plant wide shutdown PBEDs.
Maintenance Planning/Budget.
Attend BU DDS Meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and plumbing systems required.
Knowledge of BRC maintenance requirements and assist department to adhere to the requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work various hours and shifts and holidays.
