JOB SUMMARY:
A Maintenance Racker ensures the satisfactory installation and upkeep of the plant's overall pallet
racking system and components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Disassemble and reassemble racking system components and material by using scanners to correctly scan material out and in to locations
- Perform routine inspections of racking system components; ensuring racks are properly stocked to load capacity and are free of rust and damage
- Maintain all racking components and address any safety or repair concerns
- Display, encourage, and maintain a professional work environment through the timely completion of projects, respectful communication, utilizing teamwork, integrity, accountability and excellence
- Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of racking and inventory systems
- Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Physical Ability:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, climb, and perform various duties from a ladder at various heights
- Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lb
