JOB PURPOSE
Assist in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect, for the following but not limited to automated feed systems, fresh water wystems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
- Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.
- Must be on call available for emergency situations.
PAY RATE:
Hourly: $17.00

REQUIREMENTS
- Two-year technical degree or greater, High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must possess a current valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
