Maintenance Technician

The team:

At Datadog, Office Operations run the day-to-day operations for Datadog and help to keep our employees safe, happy and productive, which means every day is different. Office Operations work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.

The opportunity:

As the Maintenance Technician at Datadog, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the office is maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for all repairs and maintenance and oversee any outside vendors that may need to be called. You will also be the main point of contact and supervision for all landlord engineer repairs.

You will: 

• Repair equipment, plumbing, flooring, lighting, shades, and paint walls 
• Oversee preventative maintenance negotiations and contract for repairs to HVAC, doors, and other equipment
• Liaise with the building management on repairs and maintenance for which they are responsible
• Responsible for Fire Safety Team & coordination of quarterly trainings 
• Keep documentation up to date
• Log all service and maintenance activity
• Proactively monitor the general conditions of office equipment to ensure high quality performance 
• Oversee training room schedule along with monitoring and preparing for large in-office events 
• Work with our Procurement team on large purchases

You are/have:

• 5-8 years of general maintenance experience
• Able to read and follow safety regulations
• Able to determine material requirements for specific and/or specialized projects
• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems
• Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting and door hardware installation 
• Able to provide high-quality customer service
• Friendly and positive demeanor
• Be adaptable to quick changes and growth
• Quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Willing to work occasional overtime
• Strong reputation for get-it-done attitude and completing projects from start to finish
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
