Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Technician II at Optima Tax Relief, LLC's ("Optima's") Santa Ana, California office reports directly to the Associate Director of Office Administration. This role is a vital member of the Administrative team, providing complete oversight of office maintenance, ensuring completion of service work orders. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be well versed in electrical, low voltage cable work, and mechanical operations. In addition, this role will be responsible for moving and building furniture. This role will work with all levels in the organization, requiring a high level of communication and a sense of urgency.

Duties

  • Make company purchases of furniture, computer equipment, blinds, cleaning supplies, paint, and other office or maintenance equipment as needed, using facilities credit card.
  • Facilitate Red Tag Project and maintain detailed spreadsheet of various office and maintenance equipment and product purchases.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and setup for Company on-site and off-site events.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as on-site injuries, equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons on Company premises, or other unusual occurrences
  • Serve a liaison between local authorities and emergency response teams in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons on Company premises
  • Act as liaison between property management and facilities unit
  • Perform minor installations of key door pads, thermostat changes, insect traps, and painting
  • Serve as active member of Company Emergency Committee serving to coordinate responses to emergency situations on Company premises
  • Assist with handling of various amounts of cash and donations as well as bank deposits
  • Performs duties as assigned
  • 2 plus years relevant experience

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of maintenance or facilities experience, including light electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical work experience

  • Ability to work with different personalities and maintain professionalism and assertiveness as needed

  • Ability to exercise diplomacy and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work M-F schedule with steady hours ranging from 7AM-6PM with the ability to be flexible within those time frames as needed.
  • Basic experience with Google suite and Microsoft Office Applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
