Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

The role of the Maintenance Technician’s will work on all mechanical and equipment issues, preventative maintenance and minor electrical repairs as needed. S/he needs to know and understand the function and construction of the equipment and machine foundation and operation. S/he will communicate regularly with employees and management on equipment status.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery in line with established programs and schedules. Must be able to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot machine problems to prevent serious mechanical failures
• Perform mechanical as well as electrical installations and repair on all machinery throughout the plant.
• Maintain proper records on all machines and maintenance work. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of a spare parts inventory. Specify and communicate spare parts needing to be procured.
• Perform maintenance on all safety guards and devices including the wiring of all electrical devices to meet NEC codes. Perform troubleshooting of equipment.
• Comply with established internal Safety procedures. Work with Safety Coordinator and Plant Engineer on ergonomic and equipment modifications as needed.
