Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician at our Dunkirk facility, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting all plant electrical systems in a safe and cost-effective manner. Your role in the bigger picture is to manage preventative and predictive maintenance and to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. - Apply basic electrical and electronic principals in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, PLCs, process controllers, power supplies, etc.
- Make minor repairs on general plant machinery such as fans, blowers, conveyors, belts, mechanical and screw conveyors.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance by area on a timely basis.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain switch gears, control wiring, and components, overcurrent, and overload protection for plant motors including three phase systems.
- Read, follow, and interpret electrical schematics and documentation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technical, automotive, or military environment OR a 2-year technical degree
