Maintenance Worker
JOB SUMMARY
Works in cooperation with all departments to coordinate the safety, maintenance, and equipment needs of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain, fix, service, overhaul or replace defective parts, for the highest quality and longest life of assigned equipment.

Ensure assigned equipment is in accordance with manufactured and company specifications.

Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment. Report to supervisor and take appropriate action for repair and/or maintenance.

Assist and direct service personnel such as lift operator, truck drivers, welders, in standard operating procedures and requirements.

Instruct and direct any maintenance trainees assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

May grease, oil, change filters and belts or other useable items.

May operate equipment during relief periods.

Perform product examination and rework when lines are down due to causes beyond mechanic’s control.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years in related field. Proficiency in industrial/shop equipment and tools required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
