Maintenance Worker

Introduction

About This Role:
This position is responsible for maintaining grounds and amenities. Work is performed in accordance with set procedures and guidelines. Incumbents maintain the grounds at County parks, buildings, and schools. Responsibilities may include turf maintenance, athletic field maintenance, landscape maintenance and park amenity maintenance.

Minimum Requirements:
8th grade education

Preferences: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE…

Experience working with a team.
Experience working outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.
Experience working a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.

Special Requirements:

Requires a valid driver's license
Requires the passing of a pre-employment physical examination
Must pass background check
Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Schedule:
This is a 7-day per week operation. The typical workday is 7.5 hours, Monday-Friday with some rotating weekend requirements. Schedule is generally 7am-3pm with slight variations for start and stop times.

Starting Salary Range:
$18.94/hour
