As a Management Consultant, you initiate and realize change. You use your hard and soft skills to tackle challenges ranging from small and simple, to large and complex. Every day is different, and your role and input will vary per assignment. Initiating, implementing and evaluating are all within your skillset. You keep up to date with trends and developments inside and outside our bank. It is your job to translate these trends and developments into valuable strategic initiatives and subsequently, into concrete advice that will enable our bank to improve and grow. You work on assignments throughout the I&T organization of ABN AMRO and you cooperate with colleagues from different business lines and functions. I&T provides innovative digital services. Through digitization, automation and process optimization, we aim to deliver digital convenience, a quick speed-to-market and a competitive cost ratio. As the biggest outsourcing partner within the Netherlands, you will also work alongside many of the world’s top (IT and non-IT) service providers.
As a Management Consultant, you may be involved in initiating, structuring or implementing a large change program. You could also work on building a more detailed sustainability vision or supporting the management team of I&T to prioritize their project portfolio. Each and every project will have a unique setting. In some projects, you will take the lead and in others, you may perform a supporting role. Our overall goal is to support our organization in making difficult choices, guide complex implementation trajectories and ensure our colleagues are working in alignment with our shared vision.

While you will be working on different projects throughout the bank, your home base will be a diverse self-organizing team of approximately 30 consultants. You will join one of our two Management Consulting Tribes, which consist of a combined total of 18 consultants. Being part of a self-organizing team means you will have a lot of freedom, but we also expect that you will proactively contribute to the Consultancy Pool. You are a Management Consultant with some experience and a track record of successfully contributing to organizational change projects. You are adept at translating complicated information into concise, compelling stories. Besides, you can identify opportunities for optimization and use data to support your recommendations. You are a go-getter, a critical thinker and you are able to think outside the box. Moreover, you have experience with strategic puzzles in addition to executing concrete implementations. Additionally, you have strong stakeholder management skills and are comfortable communicating regularly with your clients and our consulting team. Most importantly, you are eager to realize real change in an organization that is large and complex.
