The Team:

Datadog's Finance team works with teams across the organization, providing commercial, operational and analytical support to ensure that Datadog's business continues to grow as rapidly and efficiently as possible.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a professional who is looking to manage the existing Accounts Payable (AP) team, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the global AP function. The ideal individual will coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure timely processing of all invoices and other AP-related functions, while continuing to scale the team by implementing new and more efficient processes. This role will also assure efficient operations of the AP team by establishing priorities and acting as an authoritative source of information regarding all AP policies.

You Will:

  • Manage all vendor payments and expense reimbursements via check, ACH, and wire through weekly payment runs
  • Maintain all vendor files including obtaining W-9s
  • Manage a team of three AP analysts 
  • Review and approve processed accounts payable invoices for accuracy of G/L codes and proper authorization
  • Manage vendor complaints regarding invoice payments and determine acceptable solution
  • Assist with the management of AP email inboxes to ensure all requests are responded to in a timely fashion
  • Monitor on a weekly basis AP aging and the exception reports such as invoices on hold, invoices pending approval and pending G/L coding, helping AP analysts resolve issues and minimize past due invoices
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the AP Sub-Ledger and the General Ledger
  • Enforce T&E policy by way of expense submission and review
  • Review and reconcile charges on credits cards and purchasing cards
  • Be responsible for vendor 1099 filings and year end reporting requirements
  • Maintain and publish monthly AP key performance indicators
  • Support monthly financial close process, including preparing account reconciliations
  • Work within multiple entities including acquired companies to ensure standard processes are being followed across the organization
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas that can be improved for better efficiency and controls through automation
  • Assist with external audit, compliance and special projects as necessary

You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of full cycle Accounts Payable experience 
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • ERP system experience in Netsuite and a procurement system (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, etc) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Multi-currency and international experience required
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, self-motivation and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; position is highly visible in the company
