Manager, Cloud Archive Management - Media Operations - Remote

Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E’s programming. This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the tech infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. • Manage and drive multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope to guide the migration of operational processes into new environment
• Work closely with the Director to ensure continuous improvement of process and workflow disciplines and to disseminate knowledge.
• Collaborate with our Operations, Engineering and Technology teams on business shifts/transitions that may require contribution/shifts to existing architecture designs and development.
• Build positive, trusting relationships through consistent, on-time delivery of commitments and effective communication.

• Provide leadership with a focus on collaboration, transparent communication, innovative problem solving, proactive ownership, and maintaining an industry leading standard of excellence.

• 5+ years of experience in media support roles, with demonstrated experience working with cloud archives storage & retention policies, including previous migration experience of on-premises to cloud projects. Previous experience with MAM; DAM; PAM systems a plus.
• Knowledge of video formats, processing, standards conversions, post-production (Avid, Adobe Creative Cloud, transport tools), and production environments
• Experience of working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service) including reviewing and optimizing cloud-based usage and spending post initial cloud deployment
• Knowledgeable and able to understand API management solutions and their role across enabling an enterprise cloud solution
• Ability to recommend and develop metadata structure to facilitate the movement and searchability of content through the content creation life cycle
• Understanding of secure archives and permissions. Develop business solutions to support the enablement of retention policies and implement standard operating procedures across a large organization.
• Understanding of functional requirements and the ability to interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and help implement new procedures and guidelines to enhance productivity and quality
• Desire for staying on top of tech trends, learning new technologies and sharing that knowledge to develop and mentor junior staff
• Create and update project plans and/or task checklists for assigned projects
• Update and establish company standards and best practices
• Positive personality, a sense or awareness of urgency (where appropriate)
• Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization.

Annual Pay Range: $99,282 - $132,767 Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%
