The Manager, Digital Productiondevelops email and text (SMS) messaging strategies for Society-wide communication and marketing campaigns. Responsible for managing email and text messaging (SMS) campaigns from conception to execution to analysis. Collaborates with Society business owners and marketing team to produce quality, effective email and SMS marketing programs using Society standards and best practices. Ensures data management/integration in coordination with the Marketing Cloud Admin to ensure cohesiveness across Salesforce campaigns.
Manages Society-wide email and text messaging campaigns to achieve optimal constituent engagement experiences (60%)
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and departments to create email/SMS marketing strategies to achieve specified goals for each campaign.
- Manages day-to-day campaign tasks including collection of necessary campaign elements, data requirements, track, place and manage content, and ensure tracking elements are in place.
- Develops and manages A/B test plans within campaigns to keep the Society at the forefront of communication advancements (e.g., video enhancements, recommended strategies).
- Understands and leverages metrics to optimize campaigns.
- Creates audience segmentation/targeting and manages list maintenance.
- Executes and deploys multi-step Marketing Cloud Journeys – email and SMS messaging in partnership with marketing cloud team.
- Manages all communication relevant data (import/export from other software, as well as within Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
- Leverage data to guide content creation and optimize campaign.
- Manages cadence of Email & SMS communications- including Society managed campaigns and crisis communications.
- Monitors audience/data health and provides feedback to appropriate channels when issues are discovered.
- Builds templates, code emails and run extensive testing, deploys innovative features to drive initiatives and expand reach.
- Conveys content and design best practices- training staff Society-wide on Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Features
Aligns and implements Society standards, processes, and procedures for email/SMS. (20%)
- Implement tasks in alignment with Society's brand and technical standards.
- Contribute to definition and ongoing updates to Society coding/technical standards, quality assurance standards and processes.
- Data management- including weekly publication list sync, exporting from Marketing Cloud and other data platforms for QA, manual upload cleanup, etc.
Produce effective cross-channel experiences (20%)
- Closely collaborate within/between teams to produce effective cross-channel experiences in support of Society strategic priorities and expected results and process improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional work teams to define and develop email/SMS engagement strategies, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree

Candidates with a 6+ years' experience and strong demonstrated knowledge of email / SMS design/development strategy, design, and execution work (work portfolios and/or demonstration of ability via an assigned task) may be considered for the position.
Minimum Experience/Skills/Competencies Required
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience or demonstrated ability in email marketing, campaign strategy, email development best practices and development and management of text (SMS) campaigns.
- Expertise with the principles of email and SMS marketing, email and marketing automation, best practices (AP Style Guide), testing, mobile optimization, and design
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, meet deadlines working within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled working with diverse groups of individuals.
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptive to marketing trends and changes that keep the constituent at the top of mind.
Technical/Other
- Understanding of email design principals, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization
- Experience with/knowledge of enterprise-level email/SMS tools, particularly Blackbaud Luminate Online (formerly Convio), Donor Drive and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
- Must be a continual learner to stay abreast of changes in digital technology and online tools.
- Familiarity with responsive design/development practices
- Expertise in Marketing Automation
- Knowledge of email and SMS marketing for a variety of clients and devices
- Email reporting, including running queries, exporting data, and creating post send-reports (Excel knowledge and basic data management skills)
- AMP script experience
- Updated HTML skills including responsive coding design.

Compensation & Benefits Info
Estimated compensation range for this role is $57,000 - $70,000
annually. Final offers will be based on candidate geographic location, consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these factors.
