PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $104,900-$128,200 annually. The full Pay Range is $81,700-$151,300 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

SUMMARY
The Manager Editorial (EM) is responsible for contributing to and managing the development of targeted and effective UX and marketing/advertising content for internal projects and managing BECU’s creative services copywriting team. The EM will work closely with the creative and marketing strategy teams to execute marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of BECU products, marketing objectives, and marketing activities of similar or competitive products.

Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training of copywriting staff to develop their skills and encourage their performance. Meet with staff on a timely basis for the purpose of conducting design reviews, and performance evaluations to provide relevant and actionable feedback.

Create and oversee high-quality branded editorial content for all channels.

Write, edit, fact check and proofread content for web, social and print channels.

Lead and conduct editorial processes and meetings.

Develop strong internal relationships and establish rapport with creative team members and marketing strategy counterparts, content strategy and digital analytics, and other key stakeholders.

Determine where existing communications channels can be improved and work with key stakeholders to drive change.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English or Communications, or equivalent experience required.

Minimum 1 year of directly related leadership experience, including leading copywriters in advertising or corporate in-house agency environment required.

Minimum 4 years of experience as a copywriter with two of those in a UX environment or related experience required.

Working knowledge of AP Style Guidelines required.

Strong copy editing and proofing skills are required.

Demonstrated experience in omni-channel copywriting and editorial supervision across a breadth of platforms with tailored messaging required.

Demonstrated experience using branded storytelling as a key strategy for producing engaging content required.

Excellent written and presentation skills, including presentation development and delivery required.

Demonstrated track record for leading and inspire cross-functional collaboration, relationship building, influence and negotiation required.

Ability to place emphasis on quality and adherence to brand integrity, compliance and deadlines required.

Excellent time-management and project management skills required.
