We are seeking a Manager of End User Computing Devices to define, organize, operate, and maintain end-user computing (EUC) solutions across all Macerich locations to ensure a consistently positive and secure experience. The successful candidate will lead the End User Computing team consisting of multiple System Administrators.
- Responsibility for patching, managing, and securing the workstation fleet.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of over 1000 Windows workstation and overall SCCM patching.
- Management and securing of the fleet of printers and multi-function copiers.
- Keep all end user applications patched and up to date throughout the fleet of workstations.
- Lead the End User Computing team while collaborating closely with Infrastructure and Operations teams.
- Manage direct staff members to help facilitate the end user's ability to perform their work from any location.
- Create and meet Service Level Agreements for the end user computing platforms and server.
- Stay current on new and emerging technologies and platforms.
- Provide recommendations on future technologies that could be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within Macerich to meet business needs and improve management processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate and enhance processes to provide efficiencies for deploying and managing the workstation fleet.
- Assist the overall IT organization in performing incident management and problem management duties such as identifying recurring application and system incidents.
- This includes the communication of identified problems to relevant stakeholders.
- Deep familiarity with key technology platforms and how they can impact business scalability.
- Create and maintain standards documentation for all area owned devices.
- Security policy implementation and vulnerability mitigation across all area owned devices.
- The End User Device team is responsible for handling Tier 2 and 3 incident escalations from the Service Desk and Operations teams.
- Improve communication and collaboration throughout the IT department allowing technology and systems to be facilitators of collaboration.
- Where appropriate, participate in negotiating or re-negotiating contracts with vendors and professional services providers.
- Reporting to the VP of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing end-user computing devices.
- Proven experience in managing direct reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on automation and process improvement.
Technical Skills
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Intune a plus
- Windows Software Update Service (WSUS)
- Group Policy (GPO)
- Print management and management of other computer accessories
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Workstation and Server Operating systems
- Windows Scripting
- Active Directory User and Computer Management
