The Manager - Energy Analysis already possesses a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry and can incorporate previously gained expertise into not only sustaining existing models and products, but also into generating ideas for new areas of research and analysis. They are responsible for consuming and synthesizing news, data, and information sources to lead discussions with staff regarding fundamental forecast modeling to arrive at defensible conclusions. The Manager - Energy Analysis must also be able to cut through irrelevant market noise to identify, analyze, forecast, and clearly communicate key themes and trends impacting BTU price forecasts and analysis. These conclusions and forecasts will be used to support and enhance BTU Analytics’ existing product suite as well as develop additional products.
Job responsibilities will include:

Generating, publishing, and enhancing BTU market reports and supporting forecasts monthly

Developing FactSet’s thought leadership and brand in oil and gas markets

Leading, mentoring, managing, and/or executing research projects and models that will end up as featured analysis in our suite of products

Collaborating with management to help enhance and drive oil and gas content strategy

Forecasting various fundamentals including: supply, demand, and price with a focus on North America

Maintaining and building relationships with industry participants, clients, and key FactSet stakeholders to ensure that we are providing a differentiated service and top tier customer support

Effective professional communication and maintaining healthy working relationships with co-workers as individual and team priorities shift is essential
Minimum Qualifications:
-
5+ years of previous experience in a market analytics role or trading role

Experience modeling oil and gas market fundamentals and familiarity with key datasets
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Petroleum Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related field of study

The budgeted amount range for this position in the State of Colorado is $99,000-$130,000.
