Manager, Engineering - Release Platforms

The Team:

The Release Platforms team builds the systems that enable Datadog engineers to reliably ship their code to production every day. We build the tools and workflows that simplify how engineers deploy their application and infrastructure code to our kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers. Using tools like Helm, Terraform, and Bazel, we support a broad range of use cases to deploy the systems that power Datadog.

The Opportunity:

As an Engineering Manager in Release Platforms, you will guide and expand 3-4 teams that build the systems that enable Datadog engineers to deploy their code. You will oversee multiple products in our suite of release infrastructure, including our workflow orchestration engine and artifact registry. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and security to ensure we provide a first class software release experience.

You Will:

• Manage and grow 3-4 managers and their teams
• Mentor and coach senior engineers
• Partner with stakeholders across Datadog to develop a prioritized roadmap for your products
• Drive the technical direction and implementation of the products you oversee

You Are:

• You have previously managed managers
• You are comfortable managing geographically distributed teams
• You are familiar with Kubernetes and Terraform
• You have prior experience with distributed systems

Bonus Points:

• You have experience building deployment tooling
