Position Summary
:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will work cross functionally to drive the strategic objectives of the organization by supporting all aspects of planning and analysis, including portfolio expense planning and monthly variance analysis. The FP&A Manager will support the Head of FP&A and function as a liaison between the Finance and executive leadership, senior management and operational teams. This role will add significant value to our organization and be a critical part of our continued growth.


Primary Responsibilities
:

  • Partner with functional leads to assist with the preparation of the department budgets, quarterly forecast updates and long-range planning for the portfolio.
  • Support month-end close/reporting activities and variance analysis. Analyze and report monthly results vs. budget/forecast, and cash flow while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Develop financial performance decks to facilitate leadership reviews of budgets and of quarterly results vs. plan.
  • Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights to the leadership team.
  • Provide consistent feedback and keep management updated through proactive monitoring of key issues.
  • Assist in partnering with cross-functional leaders to help drive business strategy through ad-hoc modeling and analysis.
  • Support the continued growth of the finance function and capabilities.
  • Assist in supporting other business units, as needed by the FP&A team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop ongoing business strategy and deliver based on that strategy.


Required Qualifications
:

  • 5+ years of FP&A experience in biotech/pharma or financial consultancy background preferred
  • BA Required (finance or accounting degrees preferred)
  • Experience with financial modeling and analytics with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Self Starter who is organized and strategically minded
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Advanced Excel using pivot tables, v-lookups, and formulas as well as data modeling
  • Experience with Netsuite and Workday Adaptive Planning or similar technology preferred
  • Ability to influence key leaders and stakeholders to make decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills
  • Confident presenting to all levels of management
  • This position will be required to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week
