The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for designing and implementing learning strategies, managing training programs, and developing team members' skills and knowledge within the organization. This role plays a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their operational skills and knowledge.

Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.

Adheres to Suns Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.

Partners with Team Relations on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.

Conducts team member performance reviews and recommends compensation adjustments.

Maintains strong relationships with operations & department leaders to understand business operations and objectives; ensures teams efforts are seamlessly aligned with business objectives.

Develops impactful programs that drive measurable success across the organization through conducting ongoing needs assessments to determine areas of focus for training and development.

Supports and trains the talent management process, including performance management, talent review, and succession planning.

Provides leadership, direction, and vision to learning & development in the accomplishment of their goals and objectives.

Assists leaders in developing their high-potential team members at all levels with both individual and competency focus.

Develops and maintains company-wide training and leadership training programs.

Ensures the application of effective instructional design, development, and training principles and practices.

Follows-up, assesses, and implements tools to measure content, course, facilitator, and initiative effectiveness.

Supports and helps drive organizational culture.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (Required)

Master's Degree in (Preferred)

5 years human resources experience with focus on talent management and organizational development
-
5 years effective facilitation experience in a leadership capacity

6 months previous experience in Sun Communities operational leadership role
-
6 months previous experience with integration process related to mergers and acquisition

Ability to design and deliver curriculum, development systems, and programs to build team member capabilities with a talent development pipeline

Ability to collaboratively assess organization needs and capabilities

Ability to plan and manage multiple projects

Strong consultation and facilitation skills

Ability to communicate, implement, manage and improve the design and delivery of team member development curriculum and programs

Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to interact with senior-level leaders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication skills are essential in effectively guiding team members through their learning journey.
