The Opportunity:

Datadog is a cloud-scale monitoring software company. Our highly successful Mid-Market sales team is rapidly increasing revenue and has no plans on slowing down! Our hybrid inside/outside Mid-Market role focuses on customers with 2,000-5,000 employees. This is an opportunity to join a team that’s disrupting a market which will experience 300% growth in the next few years. Our Mid-Market Sales Manager will provide strategy, mentorship, and guidance for a team of Account Executives who are responsible for driving new business through full cycle sales.

 

You Will:

  • Manage, coach and scale a team of Mid-Market Account Executives 
  • Lead team to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Monitor sales performance: activity, pipelines, forecasts, and closed-deals to ensure quota attainment
  • Manage the sales funnel from lead to close and create metrics to improve performance
  • Drive lead penetration, high activity standards, and pipeline management
  • Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly team forecasts
  • Participate in hiring and interviewing process, as well as training and ramp-up of new team members

You Are:

  • Experienced in 4-7 years as a sales professional, with a heavy emphasis on pipeline generation and managing longer, high complexity sales cycles
  • Passionate about coaching others with experience managing a high performing Sales team for a B2B technology company
  • Confident in selling to C-level executives in the IT space 
  • Comfortable setting quotas and managing people against those quotas
  • Proven in your success with a strong track record as an individual contributor and can share relevant and complex closing experience with a growing team
  • Able to sit up to 6 hours, traveling to and from client sites
  • Able to travel via auto, train or air up to 50% of the time

At Datadog, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including your work history and professional experience. These considerations potentially can cause your compensation to vary.


The Manager, Mid-Market has an annual starting salary of $110,000.00, plus variable compensation and a competitive equity package.
