Job Title: Manager, Natural Gas Structuring

Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid

Reports To: VP, Pricing and Structuring

Job Summary:

Just Energy is seeking candidates for a Manager, Natural Gas Structuring in our Houston, TX office. This position is responsible for structuring Natural Gas, deal analytics and review, assisting in the implementation of Natural Gas Pricing Software, owning and maintaining natural gas cost components, managing natural gas storage models for financial forecasting and pricing, and supporting the documentation and creation of natural gas pricing training materials.

This position requires critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a customer-service mindset. This position reports to the VP Pricing & Structuring, working closely with the Director of Commercial Pricing and Gas asset managers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of natural gas pricing software and coordinate maintenance of all costing assumptions
• Follow market and tariff changes and perform cost analysis and updates in utility, pipeline, and storage cost assumptions
• Maintain natural gas storage models for forecasting costs and benefits and ensure assumptions are in sync with natural gas pricing models
• Regularly review Utility Gas Transportation Operating Manuals, pipeline and storage tariff updates to ensure pricing accuracy
• Implement new pricing models for new territories and/or products
• Interact with Supply, Load Forecasting, Operations, Sales, Contracts and Risk (as needed) on new projects and system development
• Perform in-depth analytics for large and complex transactions
• Work closely with Portfolio Management team on IRR analysis, attrition analysis, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a business/analytical field of study (e.g. Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics)
• Extensive knowledge of the wholesale and retail natural gas landscape including price points, transportation, and storage
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Must be detail oriented, productive, and efficient
• Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be well-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment
• 5+ years’ relevant natural gas experience
