The Job At-A-Glance
Q2 is seeking an experienced Product Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing the roadmap and strategic planning for an industry-changing fintech platform. You will be working at a company whose mission is to build strong and diverse communities by strengthening their financial intuitions. In this position, you will be responsible for managing Q2’s Product Extension Solutions, which are a set of forms built using Q2 powerful SDK which interact with our Core Banking Integration to deliver discrete value to Q2 customers. You will be expected to chart a strategy that meets business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment. It requires a highly motivated and focused individual capable of communicating, establishing credibility, and driving high-performing product solutions. Additionally, you will evolve custom customer solutions into scalable products that meet the needs of diverse customer base. You will have the responsibility of leading and managing a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to meet strategic objectives.

Opportunities requiring broad thinking, including design, financial analysis, workflows, and data analytics are familiar to you, and demonstrated success is your norm. You possess deep experience in Product Management related to enterprise software development best practices.
In addition, you take a client-centric approach to product management and have demonstrated results, driving rapid modifications and initial concepts to new and existing products. Although you will work in the Product group and manage key personnel in your product organization you will also continually work with, build, and influence cross-departmental workgroups with your outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A Typical Day:
  • Responsible for defining and driving the product strategy for Q2 Product Extensions.
  • Assist in managing existing vendor relationships and aligning forward roadmaps and initiatives
  • Ensure US banking regulatory and compliance requirements are built into extension products
  • Scope, plan, and execute work across multiple Q2 engineer and product teams
  • Proactively identify opportunities for new trends/features/products
  • Create product business cases utilizing research, industry expertise, and financial knowledge
  • Assess risk of value, feasibility, and usability as key factors to product success
  • Communicate value and vision effectively-being confident with presentation skills and establishing credibility with an audience
  • Engage with clients and prospects through Relationship and Sales teams as needed to present and discuss roadmap and strategy
  • Build effective relationships with others in Product, Sales, and Marketing
  • Champion end-user experience by actively seek to integrate human interaction best practices and best in class front end design into each feature you build
  • Manage a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to deliver product acceptance criteria for the development organization you work with to ensure the highest quality and customer experience
  • Work with the Release Management team to develop and deliver release documentation and training materials for internal groups on key functional aspects of products under your ownership

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience. Typically requires 1-2 years managing and developing employees.
Candidate MUST Have Financial Service/Banking or Fintech experience
  • Relevant experience in evolving custom solution to scalable products
  • Strong team leadership qualities with proven experience building, growing, motivating & mentoring high performance teams.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills
  • Excel and data analysis skills
  • Self-starter with proven ability to deliver results with minimal assistance is a must
