Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Currently looking for Fall 2022 interns only

We are seeking a recent highly driven, motivated, and fast-learning intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary team to design, implement and optimize manufacturing processes at the component, sub-assembly, and final assembly levels. At the start of the internship the successful candidate will be assigned a manufacturing-focused project(s) and will be given the tools, resources, and support in order to facilitate the success of their project.
Please note that this role will be an in-person not a remote role. While our team takes all safety precautions in the work place possible (including face masks, social distancing, etc), it is recommended that you are fully COVID-19 vaccinated due to the hands-on and collaborative nature of the work being performed.

Requirements

  • Support the Sustaining Engineering team to propose and implement process improvements and manufacturing projects.
  • Design, develop, and execute test method validations.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality to create manufacturing documentation & fixtures, investigate non-conformances, and gain approval through internal quality system.
  • Gain working experience of working at a startup operating at the nexus of the highly regulated pharmaceutical and medical device industries

Education and/or Job Experience

  • Graduate in BS in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
  • Prior internship, research or engineering student project experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly driven and motivated self-starter – As things move fast in a small startup environment one will wear many hats while respond to changing priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and SolidWorks a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
