Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Currently looking for Fall 2022 interns only

We are seeking a recent highly driven, motivated, and fast-learning intern to join the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary team to design, implement and optimize manufacturing processes at the component, sub-assembly, and final assembly levels. At the start of the internship the successful candidate will be assigned a manufacturing-focused project(s) and will be given the tools, resources, and support in order to facilitate the success of their project.

Please note that this role will be an in-person not a remote role. While our team takes all safety precautions in the work place possible (including face masks, social distancing, etc), it is recommended that you are fully COVID-19 vaccinated due to the hands-on and collaborative nature of the work being performed.

Requirements

Support the Sustaining Engineering team to propose and implement process improvements and manufacturing projects.
Design, develop, and execute test method validations.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality to create manufacturing documentation & fixtures, investigate non-conformances, and gain approval through internal quality system.
Gain working experience of working at a startup operating at the nexus of the highly regulated pharmaceutical and medical device industries

Education and/or Job Experience

Graduate in BS in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
Prior internship, research or engineering student project experience is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly driven and motivated self-starter – As things move fast in a small startup environment one will wear many hats while respond to changing priorities
Experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and SolidWorks a plus
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
