InvaGen pharmaceuticals is looking for talent in Central Islip, NY and Hauppauge, NY.

Seeking Manufacturing Operators with expertise in:

• Blending
• Coating
• Compression
• Encapsulation
• Granulation
• Mixing

These are full-time positions, paid on an hourly basis, eligible for paid time-off and benefits for the following shifts:

Shift 1 - 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Shift 2 - 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Shift 3 - 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Ideal candidates should have experience in:

• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Solid Oral Dosage Manufacturing - pills, tablet, capsules
• Working with powders and pellets for tablets and capsules
• Working on machines such as CADMACH, Sejong, Legacy, Fette and Glatt

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Dispensing raw material and primary packing materials as per work order.
• Ensure proper planning and execution of Batch Manufacturing Records and SOPs.
• Monitoring, cleaning and sanitation of production area and machinery as per respective SOPs.
• Conducting in process checks, on-line documentation, and timely recording entries related to manufacturing and filling operations and activities.
• Controlling machine operations with minimum rejections and maximum outputs while maintaining quality standards.
• Performing checks, maintaining inventory, and safeguarding machine parts, tools and accessories for smooth functioning, preventive maintenance, and calibration.
• Sampling as per schedule and in coordination with QA and QC.
• Check and ensure status labels at all stages of manufacturing and filling.
• Ensuring line clearance during batch and product change over.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in the English language (Speaking/Reading/Writing) to understand and follow work instructions and document results.
• Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and the operating principles of control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work in both independent and team environments.

Preferences:

• Accredited college certificate or university degree.
• Minimum of one (1) year of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including, OSHA.
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to do heavy lifting / bending frequently.
• Exert an amount of force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force rarely by utilizing a hand truck to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE is required
• Individual may be required to wear respiratory devices that include but are not limited to:
  • Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) which include half-face and full-face negative pressure respirators
  • Hooded powered air purifying respirators
  • Supplied Air Respirators (SAR), which include hooded or full face supplied air respirators
