Manufacturing Technician

Our Client is one of the UK’s leading pioneers in the race to develop and manufacture the latest Battery technology for industry, with an initial primary focus on supporting our ever growing Automotive manufacturing sector (but not exclusively!), ensuring that there will be a brighter and greener future for us all.

Working from state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the West Midlands, it is our pleasure to now be partnering our Client to help develop, build and nurture their team with only the very best talent!

As part of this growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • You will support for R&D cell assembly activities team
  • Meanwhile perform electrode preparation activities following standard operation procedures
  • Adhere to company policies such as Health & Safety and Quality
  • Maintenance of production equipment
  • You will also assist with the Internal movement of materials
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products
  • Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures in line with 5S methodologies
  • Throughout you will exhibit a positive team-based attitude

Qualifications and Experience (you will ideally possess):

  • You will have a minimum HND/HNC/ BTEC (level 3) qualified with a fully indentured apprenticeship
  • Previous experience in a High Volume Batch Manufacturing company
  • Demonstrable experience within a role which requires building Mechanical or Electromechanical Components.
  • Experience of Metallurgy, Electrochemistry, Powder handling, Chemical Plant or equivalent (Printing/Food Industries), or experience in Mixing/Coating/Calendering processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings or Schematics is advantageous.
  • Practical aptitude with the ability to follow processes and record data accordingly.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • You will have good computer literacy.

On offer to the successful candidate is a negotiable (albeit dependent on relevant experience) basic salary, together with a full benefits package.
