Pioneering nucleotide research since its inception, we are now leading the way in the rapidly expanding mRNA market.Your next role as a Miracle MakerMaravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Payroll team as a Payroll Coordinator I. In this role, you'll be a key player in our payroll process, serving as the primary contact for employees with payroll inquiries. You'll also be responsible for documenting findings and recommending improvements to help us achieve our goals.If you are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to start your career in payroll, we want to hear from you!How you will make an impact:• Run the payroll from start to finish while being mentored and shadowed by another member of the team.• Completing checklists and processing adjustments as needed, with the goal of running payroll independently upon full training.• Enter new hire data after proper timeframe for training by senior member of the team, to then be reviewed by the payroll manager.• Follow up on open items (such as unapproved time off request) once trained by senior member of payroll team.• Assist employees with general payroll questions.• Assist Payroll Manager in review of employee changes made by HR team.• Monitor and maintain timecards to ensure they are properly completed, send follow up notices, as necessary.• Send weekly reports to agencies for temporary employees once trained and shadowed by team member.• Run monthly reports for accounting and finance once trained and shadowed by team member.• Assist with audits.• Perform other functions and duties as required in the payroll department.The skills and experience that you will bring:• Experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.• Basic math and computer skills. Experience with excel is preferred.• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail required.• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.• Meticulously organized in work and highly detail oriented.• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with team first and then with all levels of employees, management and external agencies, developing strong relationships.The anticipated salary range for this position is $28 - $33 per hour. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
